The Charles S. Roberts Awards have been bestowed annually since 1975, aside from a hiatus from 2013 to 2018. They were first awarded at the Origins Game Fair in 1975. Formally, they were known as the “Origins Awards”, until 1988 when Charles S. Roberts graciously gave permission to use his name, which until then had been only unofficial. This page lists each Awards Year, and links to individual pages for that year; the listed year is the year of publication for the games, magazines, artists, and designers so honored, rather than the year the Award was bestowed.
